In October of 2019, it was fall break of my sophomore year of high school. I was on a trip to Chicago with my family, and it had just been announced that Billy Joel would be holding a concert in Notre Dame Stadium in the summer of 2020. My parents asked my brother and me if we would rather go on a vacation next summer or if we would rather see Billy Joel in concert. Obviously, going to see Billy Joel was the only correct choice. Little did we know that the COVID-19 pandemic would turn the world entirely upside-down, causing the concert to be postponed not once, but twice to the summer of 2022.
However, the concert was worth the wait! I was lucky enough to sit up close to the stage, so I was right in the middle of all the action!
